AI prompt frameworks help structure requests in a way that ChatGPT can better formulate a relevant response. Frameworks are easy to learn. Why? Because you're likely close to using a framework already. You just don't know it.
Here are 3 easy-to-remember-and-use frameworks.
1. RTF
(Role-Task-Format)
Get ChatGPT to assume the role of an expert you need. Be specific about the task you need it to do and how you want the response returned.
Example:
>>
You are a negotiation expert. Suggest [x] ways to close this sales deal with this customer. We've hit a stalemate in negotiations. They're asking [unreasonable request]. What else could I offer? Format in bullet points.
>>
2. TAG
(Task-Action-Goal)
Be specific about the task you want the AI to execute and the details it should return in the response. State the aim of the of the task.
Example:
>>
Analyze the nutrients in a [specific meal]. Highlight the [specific macros] in the meal. The aim is to identify meals that are [nutrient goal].
>>
3. RISE
(Role-Input-Steps-Expectation)
Identify the role and provide data that ChatGPT should work from. Specify the required steps it should take to execute the task and state what the goal of the task is.
Example:
>>
You are a financial consultant. I earn [current income situation] and I'm looking for additional income streams. Provide a step-by-step plan on how to identify side hustles that could potentially work with my current situation. My hope is that I can [goal] in [timeframe].
